All of our pressure plate castings are made from ductile (nodular anti-burst) iron for your safety. None of our pressure plates are made of grey cast iron as are many stock pressure plates that are rebuilt in to “performance clutches.” Beware, cheap grey iron rebuilt pressure plates castings may explode, unlike ductile iron pressure plates. Chromoly Steel Lightweight Flywheels Exedy racing flywheels are made from solid one-piece billet chromoly steel or chromoly steel forgings. They are specifically designed to reduce weight and inertia for better throttle response. Most incorporate special design features to enhance the air flow to improve the cooling of the clutch. The ring gear teeth are machined onto the flywheel. Exedy chromoly steel billet and forged chromoly steel flywheels have passed engineering burst tests beyond 15,000rpm. EXEDY is truly OEM.
